A Theater Program That Works for Everyone
Our SHINE! Performing Arts Series welcomes students in grades 3-8, regardless of their acting experience. Whether your child is a seasoned performer who's been putting on shows since they could walk, or a shy kid who's never been on stage, everyone finds their place in our supportive theater community. All acting abilities are welcome – because we know that confidence grows when kids feel safe to explore and create.
SHINE! Performing Arts Series Partnership
Since fall 2023, we've partnered with ABG to bring you this SHINE! Performing Arts Series – a transformative experience that goes beyond traditional theater. This seasonal program empowers young people to raise their voices through full-scale musical productions. From Matilda Jr. to Shrek Jr., and most recently Alice in Wonderland Jr., our young stars have brought beloved stories to life together on stage.
The Magic of 13 Weeks
Our program runs for 13 weeks on Saturdays, with two convenient 2-hour class time options to fit your family's schedule. This isn't your typical afterschool activity – it's a deep dive into the world of theater that transforms shy kids into spotlight-stealing performers and gives natural entertainers the skills to truly shine.
Real Theater Professionals, Real Experience
What makes our partnership special? It’s The Aveson Way, the stage version. Students collaborate with real-time professional actors, directors, and theater artists. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn from the pros who make theater their life's work. Our Aveson students develop genuine performance skills, stage presence, and the kind of confidence that carries far beyond the theater.
The Big Moment of Magic
All that hard work leads to something spectacular: two final performances in front of a live audience. There's nothing quite like watching your child take their bow after 13 weeks of growth, creativity, team bonding and hard work.
