Michelle Hastings, Board Member

While new to the board in 2025, Michelle has been a part of the Aveson community since 2017, when her son joined Aveson’s innovative independent study program as a kindergartener.  He is now a thriving student in Aveson’s middle school, Aveson Global Leadership Academy (AGLA). 

Michelle has spent her thirty-year career working for Mandalay Entertainment in various capacities, previously serving as Senior Vice President, Motion Picture Administration; Executive in Charge of Production; and Associate Producer.  She is now the Special Projects Consultant for Mandalay’s Chairman, and is a member of the Producers Guild of America.  Michelle has managed many facets of Mandalay’s business endeavors over the years, with expertise in film and television production, distribution and publicity; human resources; and corporate operations. 

Michelle is also a certified yoga instructor who specializes in working with older adults.  A strong advocate for making yoga accessible to all, she is privileged to volunteer for the City of Pasadena and serve community members from both Pasadena and Altadena.
