Kate Bean returns to Aveson Charter Schools as Interim Executive Director, bringing full circle a journey that began when she founded these ground-breaking K-12 public schools in 2006. As founder and CEO for 16 years, Kate led an amazing team as they built Aveson from the ground up—designing personalized learning models, leading education innovation, and growing the organization to serve students across multiple sites.

Kate holds a Master of Science in Education Administration and a California Administrative Credential. For the past three years, she has served as an Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow and Scholar in Residence at Harvard University.

Now, as Aveson enters its next chapter, Kate brings her deep institutional knowledge, commitment to educational innovation, and passion for student-centered learning back to the schools she founded—ready to lead Aveson 3.0.
