Aveson June Jubilee Is June 4, 11-5!

A day of fun at Farnsworth Park in Altadena featuring live entertainment, games & prizes, raffles, food trucks and much more.

The fourth annual Aveson June Jubilee features FREE musical entertainment in a beautiful outdoor amphitheater. The show starts at 11:00, with one of LA’s favorite kid’s bands, The Hollow Trees, playing their high energy acoustic music. Next up is Melissa Green, a talented children’s entertainer who blends catchy folk melodies with playful lyrics. The second half of the bill kicks off with the soulful rock of Old Californio featuring bright guitar-driven melodies and complicated arrangements, mixed in with a little down-home country twang and instrumental jams. Closing out this incredible line-up will be Kevin Ridel & The Sunfish, performing the powerful pop songs that have made Ridel a fixture on the LA scene in such major label bands as Ridel High, Peel and AM Radio.

When you aren’t enjoying the live entertainment, be sure to take your children to play some of the fun, creative and easy games stationed around the park. All game booths are hosted by Aveson students and their families so it is a great way to get to know members of the community! You can also shop at the local vendor booths, and participate in our many raffles to win fabulous prizes. And no June Jubilee would be complete without cracking a few of Aveson’s famous confetti eggs!

With so many things to do and see, you are sure to work up an appetite. The Aveson Culinary Arts team will have a variety of tasty treats at their booth to satisfy your cravings. June Jubilee will also feature several gourmet food trucks, includingThe Hungry Nomad, a mobile spin off of Sasoun Bakery which specializes in tempting “Armenian Pizzas”, Greenz on Wheelz, featuring a delicious selection of tossed salads, sandwiches and wraps, Gringos Tacos, offering classic Mexican cuisine geared toward meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, and South Philly Experience, serving up a variety of irresistible cheese-steaks.
