AN INTERVIEW WITH A KINDERGARTEN STUDENT

Do you like going to school at Aveson?
I like going to school at Aveson.
What was your first day of school like?
I traced my hand and put it on the wall with pictures of all my special people. My grandma, my sister, my brother and my dad.
What are your favorite things to do at school?
I like the math projects and I like to read. I also like recess a lot, I get to run a lot and its really fun and I get to play with all my friends.
What is your favorite subject?
My favorite subject is Ms. Jennie's advisory. I like when she reads to us.
What activities do you do in Math class?
In math I like the jobs I get to do. When I do my job good...I get to do the same job again. My favorite job are the minute rows and shapes.
What activities do you do in Literacy?
We read, we learn sounds and we learn what the letters look like. I learned a lot more words than new when I came to Aveson.
What activities do you do in Projects?
I did the 100 day project. I made a book with 100 pages. I also like making the family project. My grandma helped me.
Do you like having classes with first and second graders?
I have math and reading with first and second graders. It's fun because I have friends in first and second grade not just in kinder.
Is there anything you would like to tell other kids about Aveson?
The teachers at Aveson are really nice. My favorite are the chickens and when we have community day.
Anything else you want to say?
All the teachers are really nice. I also like all the friends I have made and the special play dates that we have after school and on the weekends.
