Aveson is a tuition-free public school of choice with a unique instructional program. It is very important that prospective parents become familiar with our model in order to decide if it meets the needs of their child and family. We encourage you to take every opportunity to learn more about our program prior to submitting an application for enrollment. We invite you to read our charter petition, speak to current families, and attend an information session. Making an informed decision is the first step to ensuring a great educational experience for your child.

2012-2013 Application Process (Quick Step-By-Step Overview)


1. Register and attend an Information Session/Campus Tour. (dates listed below)
2. Complete and submit a Lottery Application. Note: Must attach a copy of a utility bill to each
application submitted.
3. Lottery Application deadline Friday, February 17, 2012.
4. Lottery Drawing March 4, 2012 at 10:00 am. At the ASL Auditorium
5. Lottery results will be emailed to all applicants by FridayMarch 10, 2012.
6. An updated waiting list will be emailed to all applicants every 3 weeks.


2012-2013 Information Session/ Campus Tour Schedule

To register for an Information Session/Campus Tour, you must send an email to
admissions@aveson.org indicating the following:

Indicate in the subject line the date of the tour, i.e., December 3, 2011
Your child’s name
Grade level entry for school year 2012-2013
Total number of people in your group planning to attend the information session

Due to the high volume of calls, information session/campus tour registration will only be conducted
via email. Please consider yourself enrolled for the date you requested unless you receive an email
indicating that the date is full. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Information Sessions/Campus Tours

All information sessions/campus tours will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. It will include
an introduction to the Aveson education model, questions and answers and a campus tour of our
classrooms and facilities. Lottery applications will be available at the end of each session. Please
note: Children are welcome to attend, however, no childcare will be provided. Tours will be held
simultaneously at each Aveson Campus. The addresses are as follows:

Aveson School of Leaders- Grades K-5

Aveson Global Leadership Academy- Grades 6-12

Lottery Application Deadline

All lottery applications for the 2012-2013 school year, must be submitted to the main office of the corresponding school by Friday, February 17, 2012.  You may hand deliver or mail your lottery application. 

Lottery applications will not be accepted without a utility bill. 

Lottery Date


A public lottery for both schools will be held on the Aveson School of Leaders campus on Saturday,
March 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. On that date, applicants’ names will be drawn randomly to fill available
seats at each grade level. Once every seat has been filled, the lottery will continue until the final name
is drawn to establish a waiting list. Parents need not be present at the lottery but are welcome to attend.
